1. Overview & Core Privacy Commitment

Drain Log ("we", "our", or "the App"), a mobile application developed, published, and operated by Hoverstone LLC ("Company", "we", "our", or "us"), is engineered from the ground up as a privacy-first, 100% on-device post-operative recovery logging application. We believe that your post-surgical recovery records, surgical drain measurements, fluid characteristics, and personal health details are deeply personal and belong exclusively to you.

We do not receive, sell, rent, or monetize the recovery records you enter in the app. Surgical drain measurements and patient records are stored locally in a sandboxed SQLite database. You control any exports or sharing. Purchase processing, website analytics, and information you send to support are described below.

2. Collection of User Data — What We Do NOT Collect

Drain Log stores the health information you enter on your device; it does not upload those records to us or RevenueCat. When you use the app:

Jackson-Pratt (JP) Drain Volumes & Fluid Colors: Calculated and stored 100% on-device.
Patient Profile & Dates: Stored in your device’s local sandbox.
Removal Readiness Evaluations: Computed entirely on-device using deterministic algorithms.

3. Local Storage, Exports, Backups & Data Deletion

We operate ZERO remote cloud storage servers, databases, or S3 buckets for your medical logs. When you generate a clinical PDF report or export a .drainlog backup file:

Export files are generated on-device.
The app does not upload exports to our servers. If you choose to save or share an export through email, messaging, or a cloud drive, that service and your recipients will receive the file.
Deleting Your Data: You can remove recovery records from the app’s local database via Reports & Settings → Reset All Local Recovery Data. This does not delete previously exported or shared files, device backups, or purchase records held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat.

Depending on your device and backup settings, app data may be included in operating-system backups. Manage those copies through your device or backup provider.

4. No Advertising or Behavioral Tracking in the App

Drain Log contains zero third-party advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or commercial behavioral trackers (e.g., no Google Analytics, no Meta pixels, no data brokers). We never track your behavior across apps or the web.

5. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy & Transparency

We believe in full transparency regarding Artificial Intelligence:

AI in App Creation: AI developer assistance tools were utilized during software development to help human engineers write, refactor, and test application source code.
No AI Operating on Health Data: The application does NOT send your private health logs to third-party LLMs or generative AI models. All daily totals, rolling calculations, and drain removal criteria evaluations use deterministic mathematical algorithms.

6. Authenticity & Zero Fake Testimonials

We maintain a strict anti-deception policy. We do not publish fabricated user testimonials, fake doctor endorsements, or misleading claims.

7. In-App Purchases & Billing

Apple App Store and Google Play process payments for the Drain Log Pro lifetime unlock. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases, manage Pro access, and restore previous purchases. We never receive or store your payment card numbers.

RevenueCat processes purchase history, transaction and entitlement information, an anonymous app user identifier, and technical information needed to provide its service. The app configures RevenueCat without a name, email address, or patient profile. Your drain logs, recovery notes, and other patient records are not sent to RevenueCat. This purchase-related processing is separate from your locally stored recovery data. For more information, see RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.

8. Website Analytics & Support Communications

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page visits and website performance, including page views, referring sites, browser and device information, and load times. Cloudflare describes this analytics service as cookie-free and without fingerprinting. Website analytics are separate from the mobile app and do not receive your recovery logs. If you email support or our privacy contact, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send so we can respond. Please avoid sending patient records or other sensitive health information unless needed for your request. Contact us below about information you have sent to us or purchase-related privacy questions. Clearing local app data does not delete email correspondence.
